What started as a casual bluegrass jam session at home with a rented guitar for that musical party, was the turning point that changed Sue Decker’s life That day she discovered she should devote her life to composition, dobro, slide guitar and lap steel guitar, as well as learn more about her passion for blues Since then on Sue has developed a style that combines the essence of pre-war blues with folk and country music She now brings us with her first full-length studio-recording produced by Winn Gogol, who also has collaborated by co-writing five of the twelve songs included on this album of approximately forty-five minutes lenght Sue Decker’s vocals and slide guitar are well backed by musicians like Bill Johnson, Damian Graham, Paul Black, Adam Dobres and Kelly Fawcett among others Both solo and with a band Sue knows how to establish an immediate connection with the audience, with an intimistic, sensual repertoire filled with touches of magical exoticism, thanks to the wrapping atmosphere she created along the whole way of these forty-five recorded musical minutes
