Steve Shive is a restless person who has devoted himself to work as a session player, producer, composer and drummer, as well as leading his own bands. Over the years he has recorded and performed with artists like Kingfish, Robbie Dupree (Jackson Brown), David Lindley (Ry Cooder), TJ Tindall (Bonnie Raitt, Michael Jackson) or Daryl Dixon (Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Sting), as well as collaborating with producers such as Ken Scott (Beatles, David Bowie, Supertramp, Jeff Beck) or Joe Hardy (ZZ Top, Ry Cooder).

Steve is now working with his new band on a project he presents in this album. With his musicians he develops a style that is an amalgam of different sounds like soul, blues, roots music and Americana, styles Steve is able to give his own personality, that makes as a result a multichromatic palette of colors with a good variety of tonalities and tasteful feelings for the senses.

The recording only includes six songs that become a good example of Steve’s special features who, besides playing drums, is also on rhythm guitar, keyboards, percussion and vocals. He is joined by his son Ryan David Shive on guitars, Stephen Dees and Bob Lizik on bass, Glenn McClelland on piano and organ, Matt Daniels on lead and slide guitars and, as very special guests, Mickey Junior on vocals and harmonica, Victor Wainright on piano and finally Tanqueray Hayward on backing vocals.
