If you listen to this album without looking at its cover you would never imagine there is a single musician who plays in it, as it sounds as if he was backed by a whole band Steve Hill stands in front of the audience, he sings and plays guitar and some percussion instruments that hang from his guitar with his hands, while his feet skilfully move among bass drum, snare drum or hi-hats that, in this case, could be said he controls with iron feet The album was recorded live from La Chapelle in Quebec, Canada, and faithfully captures all the energy this Canadian multi-instrumentalist brings in all his live shows The recording gathers twelve own songs and two versions where Steve proves he is an stratospheric spectacular musician with a terrific musical approach, a real master of tempo, stage control, technique as well as an amazing showman The album becomes a real rock-blues concert, displayed with a rigorous vehemence where affectation has no place Steve Hill is an honest musician who guarantees the power and value of the one man band musicians in XXI century, although, naturally, he is far really away of his precedents, as could be legendary Dr Ross to only mention one of the pioneers of this kind of blues
