German label Acoustic Music surprises us again with a new cd of a northern Germany rock-blues band Steppin’ Out has Hugo W Scholz on harmonica and vocals, Jurgen Bock on bass, Marcus Wickel on drums and Frank Pecher on guitar Reputed British saxo player Dick Heckstall-Smith appears on this cd as a very special guest The band has an elegant fine sound, all tunes are their own compositions prevailing groove-blues with a jazzy touch and some soul and ZZ Top rock-blues and other southern similar bands tracks Good vocals, good arrangements, good guitar playing and a good rhythm section too This is an enjoyable cd with very inspired excellent moments that will certainly surprise you
