From Basque country in the north of Spain comes the last recording of the StarBlues, a band founded ten years ago and led by guitar player, singer and composer Jon Barrero After the release of their first album in 2016, the band changed some members and now the lineup includes the following musicians: Yon Labayen on piano and hammond, Mikel Atxega on bass, Fermín Etxeberria on drums and, of course, Jon Barrero on guitar and vocals They have also counted with the collaboration of Fredi Pelaez in mixing and recording tasks Besides singing most of the songs in Basque language, the group mostly bases their music on blues, although they also present various influences ranging from rock to funk or jazz and they even add some swing drops The band has gradually gained in maturity and personality and they have particularly got a name in the north of Spain, where they are considered as a personal creative group with a good number of followers, especially after performing in festivals like Hondarribia and Tolosa
