StarBlues is a band from the Basque land whose two main features are they have managed to create their own style always rooted in the blues and they sing in Basque language. The group was formed in 2010 releasing their first album in 2016, followed by their second recording in 2020.

This is the third one they have just published where listeners will be able to appreciate the group evolution, as they understand the blues under the perspective of their own philosophy, something that makes them walk towards other totally eclectic landscapes.

After several changes, the current line-up includes Jon Barreros on guitar and vocals, Yon Labaien on keyboards, Mikel Atxeaga on bass and Unai Lopetegui on drums and percussion.

For the new album the band has selected nine varied songs that are a good example of the variety of styles they are able to develop with a remarkable quality and reliability, ranging from jazz blues to shuffle, New Orleans rhythm and blues, funk, soul and even they have included a small tribute to Carlos Santana.

Conviction, credibility and a well displayed music are the main qualities of a band which today have already become a benchmark in Basque region blues scene.
