After playing on bands like Blue Four or Shides Five, where he met Christine Perfect, Stan Webb decided to found The Chicken Shack, one of the most popular British blues bands of the end of the sixties, together with Fleetwood Mac and Savoy Brown Obviously, they recorded for Mike Vernon of Blue Horizon, one of the most important men of the blues circuit of that time This album was recorded live during the summer of 2004 and includes eleven songs, five Stan Webb’s own ones and the rest classics like The Thrill Has Gone, Reconsider Baby, Spoonful, or I’d Rather Go Blind among others The voice and guitar of Stan Webb are backed by Gary Davis on guitar, Jim Rudge on bass and Mick Jones on drums Songs developed with long guitar solos, in the path of seventies British blues, with times ranging from six minutes and the almost thirteen minutes of the song Stan Webb’s Chicken Shack Opera
