Son Roberts is an unclassifiable musician deeply interested in experiment with new sounds with the blues as a starting point His musical conception makes this album become a real surprise for most listeners, as they need to have an open receptive mind to be carried on by his musical proposals This is his third recording that could be defined as eclectic, unpredictable, innovative and totally daring The album was recorded in a dead end street in Toronto, Canada, surrounded by a good number of car repair shops, in an industrial place known as The Meatlocker, so one could say this environment is also present in his music and in the song lyrics, as Son Roberts often defines himself as a non-conforming contemporary story teller Besides Son Roberts on vocals and harmonica, the other musicians who have collaborated are Ralph McDonald on guitar and mandolin, bass players Gary Kendal, Omar Tunnoch, Charles Collymore, Tim Burns and Jerome Tucker, drummers Sarah Thawer, Tim Browne and Duncan McBain, keyboard players Alan Zimaitis and Jesse Whiteley, accordion player Ed Roth and Scott Bannister, Zach Forbes and Donny Hopper on horns
