Here comes a German musician who, over all, is a remarkable ‘story teller’, full of anecdotes to share with listeners, although he is also a hypnotic and wrapping blues guitar player and singer.

Smoking Wolf, as he is known in the music business, is the perfect example of and efficient able musician totally involved in his job, something he always does with an incredible passion, because he strongly believes in his musical proposal. Wolf is so confident in his music that, according to his own words, he refused a million-dollar contract offered to him by A&M Records quite a long time ago, to devote himself to perform the music he deeply feels. Nowadays this singer and guitar player likes to play with his band and is not worried about what the great managers want him to do, recording his own albums with no guidelines or pressures that could suppose him a personal conflict.

Seven own songs plus the version of “Warmes Bier” coming from Michael Strohm round up an album where Smoking Wolf develops a style that becomes a mixture of influences coming from groups like ZZ Top and his deeply admired Rory Gallagher with his own ideas. To carry out this project he has surrounded himself by Michael Strohm on bass and backing vocals and Matthias Knorr on drums, plus the special collaboration of Sascha Kün on keyboards in a couple of cuts and Julie Wnuk on vocals in one song.
