Sleepy Roosters are a Madrid blues band formed in year 2013 Since then on they have played in lots of clubs and bars of the Spanish capital, besides participating in some festivals at a national level The group was formed by three Chicago post-war passionate musicians In June 2013 they recorded an EP and now they present their first full album where they faithfully recreate and pay homage with passion and commitment to 50’s and 60’s genuine blues, not only with the music, but also with the vintage sound they give us The album was recorded in one session, as was usual in traditional old time blues recordings, performing all together with not cuts or alternative takes, with the collaboration of The Strats, a rhythm section including Ricky Avila and Adrian Career, two experienced musicians of Madrid blues scene The band leaders are Sergio ‘Brown Sugar’ Fernandez on vocals, Iñaki Moreno on guitar and Nono Mellado on harmonica Ten classic blues songs coming from Sonny Boy Williamson, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Rogers, Willie Dixon or Howlin’ Wolf among others, round up a brave wishful album that will provide very pleasant moments to all those fans who bet for them Although they do not intend to be spectacular, they really have an interesting quality level
