Singer Skylar Rogers was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, where she soon realized music was the best way to bring people together Despite she suffered a difficult personal life, today she has finally found stability which has allowed her to entirely devote herself to the passion that music has brought her She started to tour in 2019 and published her first album in 2018 Among her varied influences you will find such different artists like Tina Turner, Koko Taylor, Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, BB King and even AC/DC or various Motown artists, so her style could be defined as soul rockin’ blues This new album gathers ten own compositions, some of them written in collaboration with her drummer Bradley Arl, who also provides the right beat, groove and shuffle to every cd song The rest of musicians are Steven J Hill and Marty Gibson on guitars, Pete Zimmer on keyboards and Jerry Ewing on bass All together give shape, brightness and appealing colors to a well-developed bunch of songs that, at the same time, sound raw and straight but of course well-conceived and perfectly polished, to let listeners completely enjoy the proposal Skylar Rogers brings us, overcoming all the actual obstacles with her passionate energy
