From southwest Missouri and deeply inspired by Memphis’ musical legacy, tireless band Sister Lucille embraces the blues, roots music and Memphis soul, giving to them a personal twist to, in this way, create and develop an own distinctive style they call Memphunk, which has already become the band hallmark.

Led by the exuberant voice and the impressive stage presence of Kimberly Dill, the group also includes Jamie Holdren on guitar and vocals, Reed Herron on bass and Kevin Lyons on drums and percussion, although for the album, they have also counted with a more than acceptable horn section, plus keyboard players Chris Stephenson and Al Gamble, percussion player Shawn Zorn and the backing vocal harmonies by Reba Russell.

After the release of two well-conceived albums that immediately got the favor of public and reached remarkable positions in the blues charts, Sister Lucille comes back totally involved and more devoted than ever, showing an amazing strength and an overflowing inspiration, along an impressive and worthy release, that pays tribute to women empowerment.
