This is an original praiseworthy project coming from Austrian guitarist and good singer, Siggi Fassl, who had the bright idea to record a tribute to the Jerry Lee Lewis to celebrate his father sixty birthday anniversary. The musicians involved on these recordings are an important part of the Austrian blues scene, including members of well known Mojo Blues Band, with the exception of guitarist Robert Hacker who comes from a rockabilly band called Salty Dogz. All them show a huge deep passion for Jerry Lee Lewis’ music and especially rock ‘n’ roll and country music, styles they control with great skill, playing with a deep veneration and much respect. An special mention to piano player Charlie Gurtner, violin player Martin Gordon Tichy and lapsteel guitar player Oliver Gruen. Fifteen dancing funny songs, which will give you joy and pleasure, making your feet move without stop, driving you to that distant sound of the 1950’s, but recorded with the most technical resources of the XXIst. century.
