Excellent cd and dvd including a live recording of this expert artist, who represents the most cool, genuine and original traditional pre-war rural blues. Sid Selvidge gives us a complete revision of deep folk-blues roots. Delta and Piedmont blues, all performed from the deepest part of the heart with an extreme good taste and sensibility. It deserves respect and admiration to listen to musicians devoted to keep live the treasures of the Afroamerican musical culture, especially if they do it with deep conviction, tidiness, love and good taste. Sid gives us on this cd and dvd fourteen songs performed with his acoustic guitar and his personal voice including his own compositions and some Furry Lewis or Leadbelly versions. A great cd that deserves the interest of good folk blues lovers.
