Gary Ewin is a piano player, singer, songwriter, manager and producer but, over all, he is a real lover of the most orthodox hot intense and savage blues you could imagine. In this cd, he pays a tasteful homage to all piano players who, along the years, have marked his musical style and life. Along the cd you will find Sunnyland Slim, Champion Jack Dupree, Pete Johnson, Fats Domino or Professor Longhair influences. Although he comes from Chicago, where he was born in 1953, Shrim City Slim has been living and working in Carolina and other southern states for more than twenty years. “Dark Road Blues” presents Gary Ewin in a solo playing on a grand piano, only backed by his voice. Fifteen new songs built up by one of the best ‘low-country-blues’ representatives. Will you lose the chance to get a copy?.
