Miss Shirley Smith is an excellent pianist, well known among Detroit Protestant Churches, where she began her musical career, before she moved to Atlanta and later on, to Jacksonville Besides playing piano, Shirley is an amazing singer totally involved in her town church worship, as she leads the musical minister at Potter’s House Christian Fellowship of Jacksonville, Florida, where Bishop Vaughn McLaughlin is the principal minister You will discover the impressive vocal range this woman brings us on this cd, when she sings tunes like Can’t Nobody Do Me Like Jesus or He’s Sweet I Know, this last one performed with an incredible swing Besides Shirley Smith on piano and vocals, you will also find Frank Cleveland on organ, Dart Gunn on drums and Yosef Ben Israel and Eugene ‘Bud’ Harris on bass All them also clap hands and do stomp foot in the song I Know It Was The Blood This splendid In Hymn I Trust is the debut album of this great gospel lady called Miss Shirley Smith, I dare say will leave you a deep impact when you listen to her Gospel fans and Afroamerican music lovers, please take your time to enjoy this interesting cd
