Anyone who has seen Canadian singer and guitar player Shawn Kellerman on a live show can certify he is a force of nature, and his guitar becomes a real hurricane of riffs, notes and sounds, which serve to show the blues can be performed in many different ways, but always with an undeniable intensity.

From a very young age his parents encouraged him to play blues, especially his father who ran the famous Pot The Gator Club in Ontario. Legendary guitar player Mel Brown was his mentor and teacher. In the late 90’s, Shawn moved to Mississippi where he started to play with Bobby Rush, as well as joining Lucky Peterson’s band, playing more than two hundred shows per year. Now he has started a solo career putting all his energies in looking for different sounds and new ways to walk along the blues in all its forms and facets.

The album features fourteen songs, most of them own compositions, where Shawn goes beyond blues limits, as well as showing some of his major influences like Jeff Beck, Albert Collins or Jimi Hendrix, without forgetting some southern gospel rhythms.

In the album Kellerman is surrounded by a good number of musicians including names like Bobby Rush, Jason Ricci, Lance Anderson, the late Lucky Peterson or Van Romaine.
