Shaw Davis & The Black Ties is a powerhouse rock blues trio formed by Shaw Davis on guitar and vocals, Patrick Stevenson on bass and Bobby Van Stone on drums This is their most recent work that allows us to have a glimpse and get and approximate idea of what could become the new generation of performers of the most raw, hard and gritty sound, thanks to the impressive way they attack their music The album presents seven own compositions, among them one of their many followers favourites Mamma Told Me which was already published in a previous live recorded EP But they also include two versions of the songs Willie The Pimp coming from Frank Zappa and I Gotta Try You Girl by Junior Kimbrough that, in their hands, reach a new dimension The trio communicates a terrific electrifying energy in each and every one of the songs they play, all them performed with an overwhelming intensity and in an uninhibited way The three musicians always give the best of themselves and adapt their skills to each song they attack with a wild conviction, so the final result becomes a time bomb that will completely fire up all their fans and followers
