All the energy of guitar player and singer Seth Lee Jones and his band can be found in this album entitled “Flathead”. Not in vain the album was recorded in seven and a half hours with no final edition, overdubs or technical studio devices. The result is a cd with nine of the band favorite songs, all of them permeated with the juicy sounds that are usually found at live shows. Seth Lee Jones was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma into a musical family, moving to Los Angeles where he graduated with very good qualifications in classical and jazz music. In 2010 he came back to Tulsa where he now works building and restoring instruments, as well as performing with his band including Bo Hallford on bass and Matt Teegarden on drums. The three musicians share the same musical tastes and form a compact well teamed trio, playing regularly along the local circuit and especially at the legendary club The Colony. Nine songs make up the album, where is worth to highlight his personal version of the opening cd song “I Can’t Be Satisfied” coming from Muddy Waters, “Moving Me (Way Too Fast)” by Steve Pryor, or “Mary Ann” by Ray Charles. Also mention the good contribution of guitar player Mike Satawake as guest musician.
