Legendary Allman Brothers Band created and developed a unique distinctive sound among white rock bands of their time They were also pioneers in a kind of music which was known as ‘American southern rock’ For a decade Scott Sharrard was musical director in Gregg Allman’s band, which led him to start a successful solo musical career with the mission to follow on, preserve and give visibility to the musical genre The Allman Brothers were pioneers and carried on since they started to play until the end of the sixties This is the fifth Scott Sharrard’s album that includes eleven songs that become a compendium of excellent roots rock, blues, soul and Americana, styles that are the backbone of the most genuine white southern sound, where Scott comfortably moves And if that was not enough, Scott does a remarkable work both in electric guitar and with the slide, but he also delights us with a powerful vocal singing, perfect for the style he plays As it could not be otherwise the album was recorded at the reputed FAME studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, with the valuable collaboration of The Hi Rhythm Section and other great local musicians
