This is an album that could come from an actual American female soul singer. However, her name is Sara Zamora and she is an excellent singer from Murcia who certainly will surprise people who are not familiar with her, thanks to her excellent vocal register skills, her well-pitched voice and diction, besides a faultless tone, sometimes sweet and other times raw, but, as she usually says, always with references to Etta James or Whitney Houston.

Recorded at the Arde el Arte studios in Murcia, the album gathers ten Sarah’s own compositions written in collaboration with piano players and composers Mike Martín and Pedro Contreras, with the exception of the song “Judo” whose authorship comes from Aarón Sáez.

Sara Zamora shows her versatility as a singer, always framed in soul and the most contemporary black music, which makes as a result an elegant very tasteful recording, cleverly produced by Juan Tae “El Niño Mula” and Pedro Contreras.

The album includes a bunch of very professional musicians who bring the perfect background along the whole recording, like Roberto Lavella guitar, Mike Martin piano, Juan Tae bass, Sergio Bernal drums, backing vocals of Belter Souls and a horn section with Pepe Pérez, Pepe Varas and Antonio López “Chinche”.

A sophisticated, elegant and glamorous work, that undoubtedly will raise Sara Zamora to a prominent place in our country music scene.
