Singer, keyboard player and songwriter Sandy Carroll and her partner, producer and Grammy Award-winning Jim Gaines, lead a new music genre known as ‘smooth blues’, defined as a mixture of blues, soul and country, mainly rooted in Memphis area.

After some years on the road, in 1983 Sandy settled in Memphis where she has made a name for herself and a successful career, not only as singer but also as songwriter. In fact, Albert King recorded one of her songs entitled “If You Got It” that was on her first album “Southern Woman” released in 1993. Since there on and along these thirty years of career, Carroll has released several albums that have always been very well received both by specialized media and general audiences too.
