Only aged seventeen, Samantha Fish had the chance to be at King Biscuit Blues Festival There she met Lightnin’ Malcolm and she was deeply impressed and shocked by the music know as Hill Country Blues, so she immediately decided to learn and study that style listening to the old recordings of Son House and Skip James Thanks to her broken wild voice and her electrifying guitar playing, Samantha has now become one of the most prominent and energetic representatives of the American roots music This album was recorded in three different studios with an excellent production by Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi All Stars), who also collaborates in the album playing different string instruments and bass too You will also find Brady Blade on drums, plus the special collaboration of Lightnin’ Malcolm on guitar, Sharde Thomas on drums and the vocal group Shontelle This is an album that gathers a mixture of different styles ranging from roadhouse rock to beautiful ballads, all deeply rooted in Hill Country Blues, where guitars prevail and shine at a very high level
