Rusty Ends & Hillbilly Hoodoo represent the meeting point between 50’s rockabilly and blues, a mixture they decorate with some small touches of swing, gumbo or New Orleans funk, to turn them into a pleasant, dancing and totally joyful music, something perfect to listen to in these difficult times we are living It is really remarkable and totally original that, only based on guitar riffs, simple bass lines, a fluid swing-filled drums, together with Rusty’s distinctive voice and a very honker tenor sax, The Rusty Ends & Hillbilly Hoodoo build up twelve very actual and contemporary songs, that become the perfect music to let listeners give free rein to their joy wishes and full imagination, jumping their feet and allowing their thoughts flow, thanks to the really effective and suggestive music rhythms The quartet includes Rusty Ends on guitar and vocals, Uncle Dave Zirnheld on bass and vocals, Gene Wickiffe on drums and Gary Falk in some songs The apparent album simplicity does not mean at all it does not develop and communicate an amazing quality and originality to every listener, something that goes further up of what could at first sight be expected from a recording like this one
