In year 2007 Canadian singer, guitar player and composer Ross Neilsen decided to give a complete turn to his life and start something different of what he had been doing till then He left his home, his work and his relationship and, during the following years, he did a non stop tour around Canada, Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi or Georgia playing in hundreds of bars, restaurants, cafes, roadhouses and festivals After spending the whole year 2015 playing in Canada, in 2016 he decided to take a break on the road to write some songs and record this album The eleven cd songs reflect all the influences and experiences Ross has gathered along these years Styles like blues rock in Woman’s Name, ballads as Step Into the Light, the most classic easygoing rhythm and blues in The Race, the genuine blues of Black Coffee, the Americana music in The Arrow or a tribute to one of his greatest influences, Willie P Bennet in Ballad In Low E come together and shine at a very high level on a rich in nuances album, performed with honesty and respect Today Ross Neilsen has become one of the most interesting musicians in Canadian blues scene not to be missed
