Despite the changes of musicians this New England band has suffered over the years, The Roomful Of Blues have already been forty-three years active, always leaded by the oldest remaining original member, alto and tenor saxo player Rich Lataille In this new work the combo widely shows the real good taste and knowledge of the sound that has always distinguished them Blues, jump, jive, rhythm and blues, swing and early rock and roll, with the superb arrangements and ensembles of a teamed horn section, this time with Rich Lataille alto and tenor sax, tenor and baritone Mark Earley tenor and baritone sax and Doug Woolverton trumpet The other band members are Phil Pemberton on vocals, Chris Vachow guitar, Travis Colby piano and Hammond B-3, John Turner accoustic bass and Ephraim Lowell drums Twelve superb songs coming from different artists like Gatemouth Brown, Dave Bartholomew & Earl King, Amos Milburn, Don Robey, Floyd Dixon and Leiber & Stoller, all given with a faultless performing I eagerly recommend you to listen to this album and enjoy it as if you were in a forties ballroom
