As happens with Louisiana gumbo, that needs many tasty ingredients and species, Ronny Aagren & His Blues Gumbo cook and do their best to present some dishes cooked with their personal stew and the most pleasant flavours, smells and colours, based on Mississippi Delta blues, New Orleans rhythm and blues, Texas blues and some drops of attractive rock and roll that round up all songs But the most curious thing is these teamed creative cookers come from Norway and formed the band in year 2016 Anyway, band leader, singer and guitar player Ronny Aagren is an experienced musician who started his career at end of the 80’s During all these years he has always venerated and admired artists like Robert Johnson, Blind Willie Johnson, BB King, Howlin’ Wolf, The Fabulous Thunderbirds or Ry Cooder among many others The band is formed by Ronny Aagren on guitar, vocals and song composition, Alexander Andrè Johnson on piano, organ, and backing vocals, Roar Paulsberg on bass and backing vocals and Ole-Christian Rydland on drums and backing vocals As cooking a really good gumbo is a difficult task, the experience and talent of all band musicians make them able to make us savour a five stars dish
