Born in Norway in November 1971, Ronny Aagren discovered his interest in music watching his mother play an old ‘cigar box’ guitar. When he was fourteen years old, he bought his first guitar, an Ibanez Les Paul he still uses to play slide in his shows. His greatest influences come from musicians like Robert Johnson, Blind Willie Johnson or Howlin’ Wolf, although he is also imbued with the music of The Fabulous Thunderbirds or Ray Cooder among others. After playing alone for some time, in 2016 he formed his own band and now he is one of the best Norwegian blues scene guitar players and a remarkable composer, with a huge popularity and a good number of followers. In 2019 he was selected by the Norwegian Blues Union to represent his country at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.

This is the second album he has released up to date and has got good reviews and sales. It gathers ten own compositions that comfortably move in styles like blues, rock, soul, gospel, country and Americana music. He is also backed by a group of very effective and professional musicians.

This delicious, digestive and well balanced in all its ingredients cocktail, gives shape to a remarkable recording that confirms what many of us have already guessed, which is nothing other than we are facing a musician with an undeniable quality with an upward progression.
