Ronan is a one man band coming from Bretagne In 2019 he represented France at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis His style drinks from Detroit blues sources and especially from John Lee Hooker who is one of his greatest influences although, in his blues, there are also other elements like Chicago blues His powerful performing and personality give to his music a strange feeling that allows listener to get out of any mental crisis to totally immerse into the dreamlike world Ronan communicates The album musical ingredients are based on guitar, slide, drums and overall in his deep raw voice, all wrapped with the rich expressive harmonica of Marko Balland, whose fluent phrasing becomes the best counterpoint for Ronan’s music After working together for some months playing in France and other European countries, they have decided to release this album with thirteen songs that show the good work, chemistry and excellent collaboration between these two musicians This is an honest suggestive recording with real and genuine acoustic blues
