What tasteful magic and how interesting is Ron Bear’s music! He is a singer able to sing blues with a terrific feeling or write disco music and dance songs with an outstanding quality and an incredible creativity Ron Bear was born in Ontario, Canada He is a man with a frantic activity in the musical field as he has always been a restless spirit that has led him to investigate in a variety of musical fields and genres After several trips to Austin, Texas, now he comes back with a good handful of songs he has composed the music and his good friend Lou Sabatini has written all lyrics Both friends suggest us a beautiful journey around the Mississippi melodic musical world, a journey where they become the best guides, gurus and teachers Beer has also published a graphic novel entitled Boogie Boy And The Birth Of The Blues The story is a rather autobiographical trip along Mississippi river sailing on a small boat which allows him to discover and explain the different blues styles and ways to approach the music Fortunately you can also go to this suggestive journey without leaving home thanks to this interesting album The musicians involved in the recording are Ron Beer on vocals and rhythm guitar, Neil Chapman on guitar, Bill Evans on keyboards, piano and accordion, Paul Schofield on metals, Alex Paris on bass, John Maydem on drums and Donna Lajeunesse on backing vocals
