Another fine acoustic album, from talented musician Roger Hurricane Wilson, who moves us with twelve intimist sweet and sensitive songs After some cds recorded on electric format, Roger has decided to take a breath (in fact, it is not the first acoustic cd he has done) and devote his knowledge to a new musical adventure, going to the roots to find a relaxed atmosphere Wilson has done a cool easygoing record, thanks to his baritone voice, perfect for straight unaffected country blues music Eight of the twelve tracks included on the cd are Wilson’s own compositions, the rest are Johnny Cash’s, Bob Dylan’s, Doc Watson’s and Merle Haggard’s covers The Way I Am was recorded at Synaxis Studios in Tallahassee, Florida, produced and mixed by Michael Traylor, active member of The Swamp Monk Music Works and Captain’s Beefheart’s Magic Band
