RJ Mischo is one of West Coast blues great harmonica players and singers, based in jump blues with influences ranging from The Fabulous Thunderbirds to Jimmy Vaughan or James Cotton. Gifted with a perfectly modulated voice to sing blues, a fine harmonica technique and a deep fat tone, Mischo is now one of the most qualified blues representatives of California area.

The album was recorded live in studio in Europe, concretely in Finland, and presents twelve songs, eleven of them RJ Mischo’s own compositions plus a version of “She Got Next To Me” coming from Rice Miller. In all them Mischo’s playing is totally impressive showing he is in an excellent form and in a complete chemistry with the Finnish musicians who back him, who really deserve a special mention for their blues knowledge, which makes Mischo feel very comfortable. Led by Tomi Leino on guitar, the rest of musicians are Jonne Kulluvaara on guitar, Jaska Prepula on bass and Mikko Peltrona on drums, and they always manage to get an amazing genuine sound like the one of the best West Coast American bands.

A fantastic recording, performed with an intense feeling by RJ Mischo and the group, which makes this album become a treasure for most West Coast blues lovers.
