Probably Rick Vito is well known in the music world for belonging from 1987 to 1991 to the legendary Fleetwood, where he discovered the special feeling that the band played the blues. Later on and, together with Mick Fleetwood, he formed The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band and, in 2010, he was nominated to the Grammy’s Awards for the album “Blue Again” in the categories of Best Traditional Blues Artist and Best Producer. Rick has also put his guitar to the service of great musicians like Bob Seger, Bonnie Raitt, John Mayall, Albert Collins or John Prime among many others.

In 1992 he began a solo career and now he has established himself as one of the most prestigious guitar players of the actual blues scene. Here comes his last album with eleven own compositions plus the version of “Just Another Day” coming from Sam Cooke, where Vito shows he is an accomplished master of slide guitar technique, as well as an excellent composer, singer and guitar player, developing an intense, attractive, refreshing but, at the same time, full of energy repertoire, displayed with a huge technique and a lot of feeling, on a musical journey that drives us closer to a variety of blues paths, from the Louisiana swamp blues, to the most rhythmic shuffles, jump blues, gospel or ballads.

There is a song in the album called “You Can’t Stop a Guitar (From Playing The Blues)” and this is precisely what defines and gives a special significance to the career of this fantastic artist named Rick Vito.
