For quite a long time singer, guitarist and songwriter Rick Randlett has been an important part of Florida blues scene After more than fifteen years leading his electric trio, now he has decided to record this acoustic album, the second one in his recording career On Nothing To Do Rick shows the forms, faces and different ways he can play the blues, which could be described as a poetical style, quite similar to the most contemporary story-tellers Thirteen relaxed songs, which slightly fill in country, folk and Americana music, performed with acoustic instruments and no amplification at all, where the main role is held by dobro, lap-steel guitar, harmonica and washboard Apart from blues, these songs also have the stamp and the influences of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and even Crédence Clearwater Revival and, as just mentioned, all them performed on acoustic format Besides Rick Randlett on acoustic guitar, vocals, dobro and lap steel, the other musicians who have been involved in the cd are Mitch Rogers on bass, Donny Weatherford on drums and washboard, together with the special collaboration of harmonica player Pete ‘King’ Karnes (John Lee Hooker) in four songs
