Here comes the eighth album by singer and guitar player Rick Berthod, where he presents ten songs that combine some instrumental songs with other ones that might remind those blues Texas masters Albert Collins or Stevie Ray Vaughan used to play In fact it was Albert Collins himself who, in 1988, helped Rick to assemble a band with some of the best West Coast blues musicians, which made Rick realize he had a promising future ahead, as well as gradually becoming well known by a wide range of blues lovers, besides sharing stage with legendary musicians like John Mayall, Gregg Allman, Savoy Brown, Etta James or The Yardbirds All selected songs allow us to deeply appreciate and enjoy the technique, good taste, variety, elegance and feeling Rick always communicates with his guitar solos, perfectly backed by Billy Truitt on Hammond and piano, Smiley Lang on bass and vocals and Justin Truitt on drums, plus the special collaboration of PJ Barth’s on guitar in two tracks and Ron Anaman on vocals also on a couple of songs This is a more than remarkable album by a really interesting guitar player and singer who, undoubtedly, deserves to be taken into account by most listeners
