Like so many other blues guitarists of his generation, Rich Harper learned to sing and play guitar on his own, listening to recordings by Eric Clapton, BB King, Rory Gallagher, Freddie King, Duane Allman and many others After quite a long time giving homage to his idols, playing in bars and small clubs in Pennsylvania, Rich decided to try his luck going to Los Angeles, where he formed The Rich Harper Blues Band Since then on, things have not gone wrong to him at all and since they released their first cd, Don’t Think Just Play, fortune smiled on them This Live in Scandinavia shows the trio in top form, along twelve songs performed in their most power-blues style Rich is really inspired and rolling, both in fast and slow tracks, Look Out My Window is a good example, a song where he pays homage to the great guitar player Roy Buchanan
