Rev. Rabia is an acoustic singer and guitar player who has been performing along the Bay Area for thirty years. Born in Sacramento, she began playing guitar when she was fourteen and, in the mid-eighties, she moved to West Coast, where she started to work professionally singing in an afro-beat band. Later on, she left music to take care of her second daughter.

It was not until 1995 when, one night, Rev. Rabia saw those who would later become her mentors, Robert Lowey and Virgil Thrasher, in an acoustic blues show in a small café. Since that particular moment her life and her music changed forever and Rev. decided to come back to music and totally devote herself to acoustic blues, which has allowed her to build up a solid career as an acoustic blues artist.

Lately Rev. has formed a trio with two other guitar players and three years ago she published this recording which gathers sixteen songs performed in a relaxed and intimate format and a very personal way, that enable us to appreciate the robust feeling and passion she is able to give to her voice and guitar when she attacks her repertoire. The other musicians involved in the project are Alex Baum on acoustic guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, percussion and electric guitar in one song, Keizo Yamazawa on acoustic and electric guitars and tambourine in two cuts and the special collaboration of Sam Andrew on lead guitar in two tracks.
