It has been a great pleasure to discover this singer and guitar player who was born in Texas in 1940 Since he was a little boy, Ray knew the blues and was his Uncle Bob who taught him to play his first blues song Soon he became interested on ths records his grandmother was listening on an old gramophone and little by little he became familiar with Lightnin’ Hopkins, Lil’ Son Jackson and Sister Rosetta Tharpe music among other great bluesmen His musical experience is full of interesting stories, some of them pleasant and funny, other ones emotional and sad but all them full of rich feelings His popularity has gradually increased and now he is very well know in the area where he usually works The cd shows the vitality and good work of a powerful intense artist, on a bunch of fourteen excellent passionate down-home-urban-blues songs He is also backed by a de luxe Dallas scene band including Clarence Pierce on guitar, Auastrian piano player Christian Dozzler, Hash Brown on harp, Johnny Woods on bass, Jason Moeller on drums and of course and shining at a very high level, Ray Reed on guitar and vocals
