After the success of his previous cd Gumbo recorded in New Orleans, Raphael Wressnig comes back with a double album that will delight all groove and jazzy blues lovers The Soul Connection is the title of the first one Wressnig travelled to Sao Paulo, Brazil to join forces with the excellent guitarist Igor Prado Together they prepared and cooked a good stew of soul, old school rhythm and blues, funk, groove, blues and jazz, together with singers Wee Willie Walker, David Hudson and Leon Beal who work their heart out with some Intense, pleasant, and cool singing, always with the good support of Raphael, Igor and a fantastic effective rhythm section who gave power and swing to each and every one of the thirteen songs of this first cd Captured Live is the title of the second album of the double cd and includes nine songs where Raphael is backed by The Soul Gift Band plus the special collaboration of Deitra Farr Here the Hammond B-3 replaces the voice, with the exception of songs sung by Deitra Farr, so organ gets the main role in what Wressnig defines as ‘heavy organ soul & funk’ This is a double album with an exceptional quality where the European king of groove, Mr Raphael Wressing, excels himself with a high quality work
