Two great musicians like keyboardist Raphael Wressnig and guitar player Alex Schultz join forces to release a Christmas album with a good dose of funk and groove, which give a new air to those endearing songs you will usually listen to once a year during Christmas days.

Raphael is a fantastic keyboard player, well-known and respected all over Europe who deeply controls Hammond organ and easily moves along groove and funk styles, developed with an amazing taste and personality. That is why he has cleverly managed to give to those traditional songs of the American songbook a new explosive air that comes from New Orleans rhythms to Louisiana rhythm & blues or the most contemporary soul, giving them an expressive dynamism and strength.

On the other hand, Alex Schultz brings a fresh elegant guitar sound, coming from West Coast and Texas blues school. Both musicians complement each other with an undeniable skill and complicity, as they have been playing together in various projects.

Nine Christmas classic songs, eight of them instrumentals, ranging from “Winter Wonderland” to “The Little Drummer Boy”, “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” or “Silent Night”, where Raphael Wressnig is on Hammond B-3, Wurlitzer piano and Hohner D-6 clavinet, while Alex Schultz plays all guitars and Hans-Jürgen Bart is on drums, also featuring Gisele Jackson on vocals in “This Christmas” and Eric Cisbani on drums in “Silent Night”.
