Third classified at the final of the International Blues Challenge 2017, where they got a more than a remarkable impression, singer Rae Gordon and her band release a new album that confirms the good expectations that were brought up after their outstanding participation at the just mentioned IBC Ten songs give shape and color to this new recording, where the band tastefully combines blues and soul spiced with elegant danceable touches of funk and rock As it could not be otherwise, Rae Gordon’s vocal qualities immediately connect with the audience as, not in vain, she shows a more than attractive flamboyant vocal skills she displays with a temperamental force until the last consequences And if she also counts with the efficient backing of a band with Allan Kalik on trumpet, Scott Franklin on sax, Pat McDougall on keyboards and vocals, Kivett Bednar on guitar and vocals, Joseph Conrad on bass and Ed Pierce on drums, the result can’t be other than a really amazing and impressive recording with a bunch of good built songs that, thanks to their colorful musical displaying and bright sound, will surely attract and catch a good number of music lovers and listeners
