After years of playing in a variety of bands, bass player Jon Regil has decided to go a step forward and present himself as a solo artist Now he releases his second album with seven own compositions, although in his live shows he also includes versions coming from legendary bluesmen like Robert Johnson, Big Bill Broonzy, T-Bone Walker and Jimmy Reed, he usually performs on a simple two guitars and vocal format In this last album Jon Regil’s music is rooted in blues, although it also shows other influences like soul or jazz, all of them developed in a relaxed and intimate way with the simple backing of guitars and harmonica in one song The album allows us to discover a new value of Spanish blues scene, which is always a satisfaction Also mention Jon has recorded and mixed the album at his home studio, which even gives a more honest display to the music included on it
