After some years of silence into the blues scene, Francisco Ramírez, aka ‘Predicador Ramírez’ comes back to the blues with updated ideas, renewed energy and a new band too His last work includes ten own songs, all sung in Spanish, with the personal stamp he always displays, that is to say, a particular and very personal sense of humour, that balances between the most straightforward one and the grotesque, quite often sarcastic and sharp one, but always funny and brilliant Musically speaking, the cd is very interesting too, because it gathers some talented musicians of Barcelona blues scene, Carlos Domingo on drums, Lluis Salvador on acoustic bass and blues and boogie-woogie piano player David Giorcelli –that is to say, actual David Giorcelli Trio-, plus ‘Predicador Ramirez’ himself on vocals and excellent guitar work A well teamed album, with effective funny songs, that will give you joyful moments, specially if you see them ‘live’ on stage
