Blues is a universal music that has no borders and moves the sensitivity and heart of anyone who appreciates the feeling it always communicates. All this becomes evident listening to this album that comes from Nepal by singer and guitar player Prakash Slim.

Born in a small village in Nepal, his father died at the young age of twenty-nine, so it was his mother who took care of the three children. Now and for about twelve years Prakash has led or played guitar, bass or vocals in different bands of Nepal.

After fully immersing himself into Mississippi blues knowledge and research, learning its secrets from his mentor legendary T.J. Wheeler, thanks to Carl Wyatt’s support, Slim now presents this solo album where he is only backed by his acoustic guitar, a recording that includes eleven songs plus two bonus tracks, where he perfectly combines true Mississippi blues with versions of songs coming from Bukka White, Charlie Patton, Robert Johnson or Mississippi Fred McDowell with some own compositions where you will discover some sounds of Nepalese music.

This is a curious, interesting and attractive album, especially for those who like to discover artists from distant lands. Also mention Fabrizio Poggi contributes with his harmonica on a few songs.
