Good fellow PK, who was member of so different bands like The Jilters or Hollywood Dick Doll, comes back This time he plays guitar, harmonica and sings, backed by Dave Hutchinson on bass and Paul Black on drums It is evident that PK likes Jimmy Reed or Dr Ross but this does not mean you will find here a blues record Musically speaking, PK is closer to sixties folk musicians like Bob Dylan, whose influences can also be seen on his work, but he is also closer to a completely different artist like David Bowie This particular mixture of folk and popular music that he cleverly combines, gives as a result an own particular style that could be defined in conception and exposure as ‘intimistic impressionistic pop’, with an astonishing colourful result Although the cd cannot be considered as a blues record, it is an interesting and new musical contribution
