Since the very beginning of his career that started at the early 90’s, the Phantom Blues Band has traveled around the world, performing as a solo group or as Taj Mahal’s backing band They have also worked as studio musicians for such well-known artists like Bonnie Raitt, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Otis Rush, Buddy Guy or Robert Cray among many others With these credentials one can easily imagine this band high level and quality, which now presents a new album for the excellent label Vizztone Records It would be unforgivable lack of consideration not to mention and highlight the names of the musicians who form the Phantom Blues Band, with Johnny Lee Schell on guitar and vocals, Mike Finnigan on keyboards and vocals, Joe Sublett on tenor sax, Les Lovitt on trumpet, Larry Fulcher on bass and backing vocals and Tony Braunagel on drums This new recording includes twelve appealing songs that also count with the collaboration of some guest musicians This is a more than recommendable album with extensive doses of good blues and some Americana music that sometimes could remind those great icons of this particular style like Crosby, Still, Nash and Young
