We are really lucky to have on hands three albums by Czech artist Petra Börnerová, which present three different stages of her career.

The first one was recorded under his own name and features eight songs, all of them covers of songs coming from renowned artists like Joe Louis Walker, Albert Collins, Eric Clapton, BB. King, Jimi Hendrix or Robben Ford.

This album was released in 2005 live from the Stará Pekárna in the city of Brno. Petra lets us see her emerging singer talent, showing her vocal qualities and the aim to please the audience who came that night to see her.

Petra was backed by some of the musicians who usually played with her, like Benkó Zsolt on guitar, Tánczos Istvan on saxos and vocals, Bornemissza Ádám on bass and Tomás Bobrovnzcký, her inseparable partner and album producer on drums, as well as the special collaboration of Benkö Zsolt on guitar and vocals.

This album allows us to discover and appreciate the start of Petra’s career and, together with the other two records that will be reviewed just below, both me and blues lovers will know a little bit more and be aware of the actual blues scene in Czech Republic.
