Guitar player and singer Peter Ward has always been in different ways related to the blues and most of the great musicians of New England area Former member of The Legendary Blues Band, he is also brother of Michael’s Mudcat Ward, original and actual bass player in Sugar Ray & The Bluetones band For more than twenty years and till her sad death, he was married with Mai Kramer, a blues lover, who hosted a legendary FM blues radio show at WGBH So the blues has always been present in his life That is the reason why, recently, he decided to restart a solo musical career In this second album since his comeback, Peter has been surrounded by a roster of good North East area musicians and friends such as Luther Guitar Junior Johnson, Sugar Ray Norcia, Michelle Willson, Ronnie Earl, Johnny Nicholas, Anthony Geraci, Mudcat Ward, Neil Gouvin or Hank Walther among other excellent performers In this new album Peter combines with good taste a compendium of Detroit and Chicago blues, giving them the special stamp of Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut blues Twelve original compositions that move with an extreme reliability among blues, West Coast jump blues swing and ballads With all these aces in his repertoire, Peter Ward clearly shows that he feels he is daily growing as a musician with an increasing inspiration
