Peter Ward is a singer and guitar player who has never considered music as a professional career He has always moved around Boston blues area like an amateur guitar player and a deep blues lover To my knowledge the only recording he has performed in was as a guest musician in Legendary Blues Band first album For this first cd he has recorded under his own name, Peter has been surrounded by a bunch of good musicians and youth mates like Sugar Ray Norcia on vocals and harmonica, Monster Mike Welch on guitar, Anthony Geraci on piano, his brother Michael Mudcat Ward on bass and Neil Gouvin on drums, who are joined by Ronnie Earl on guitar, Sax Gordon Beadle on sax, Bob Berry and Joe Delia on bass, George Dellomo on drums, Eric Kilburn on mandolin in one song and Rusty Scott on Hammond B-3 and organ This first Ward solo project includes thirteen songs with deep influences of Chicago, Kansas City, Texas and West Coast blues The album becomes an excellent contribution by Peter Ward and the rest of musicians involved to the actual blues market, so I am sure it will appeal to most blues lovers Let’s hope he will follow on and give us in the next future more pleasant surprises like this one
