With this album guitar player and singer Peter Parcek aims to capture the social and personal struggle we are living in these so convulsed times with the terrific pandemic that have devastated most countries Seriously injured in his wrist that made him think he would not play guitar anymore besides other personal problems, fortunately Parcek has fully recovered and now comes back with a very personal distinctive album with eleven varied and tasteful songs, three of them own compositions and the rest versions of songs coming from Sleepy John Estes, Bob Dylan, Peter Green, Pleasant Joseph, Lennon & McCartney, John Lee Williamson, Frankie Lee Sims and Lou Reed Parcek has managed to give them a personal stamp that makes them become not a simple copy of the original ones but appear with a new very actual dimension The amazing elegance, phrasing and crystal bright sound he brings out of his guitar is truly remarkable and let us realize he is in top form I cannot resist mention an anecdote One night in Buddy Guy’s dressing room at the end of one show, Guy heard Peter Parcek who absent-mindedly was playing a guitar he found on one backstage corner Guy made everybody shut up and said to Peter You’re as bad as Eric Clapton, and I know Clapton very well It was a really nice remark coming from someone like Buddy Guy
